Wagga Wagga to Worcestershire & back again
Hello February! The first month of the year seems to have passed ever-so-quickly. That last week of January though… it was hot and dusty and all around pretty ordinary to be honest – but in between there were a few sweet moments.
Here’s a look at what the last seven days has looked like for me…

Today I’d like to introduce you to Paul Thomas, who arrived safe and sound on September 24th, weighing in at 2.8 kilograms (a touch over 6 pounds) and measuring 50cm (just shy of 20 inches)…
The tiny little outfits are washed, the capsule is in the car and the change table is stocked with nappies, wipes and balm. Baby could come at any time now and every morning Adam and I wake up wondering if today is the day…
One of my favourite things about living in ‘Australia’s foodbowl’ is being able to access so much locally grown produce. It also means lots of average backyards often have vegetable patches and fruit trees, which deliver a bounty of goodies at certain times of the year. Friends, Sophie and Tim, have a particularly healthy orange tree in their yard and last year we used a big bucket of oranges to make marmalade (there’s actually still a few jars sitting in the pantry!) When they kindly gifted us another load of oranges a few weeks ago, I started browsing recipes to see what I could whip up with this year’s bounty.
My favourite use so far: orange and cranberry granola…
At the start of last month, Adam and I snuck off for a week long holiday in Kangaroo Valley in the Shoalhaven region of New South Wales. We were completely blown away with the area’s natural beauty and instead of hibernating away like we planned, ended up using our afternoons for slow-paced outings.
