Summer salutations

Plain green Christmas tree with gold star at top.

Well, here we are – Christmas is nigh and another year is rapidly drawing to a close. When I first started writing this blog, a little over five (!) years ago I wasn’t really sure what to expect. It started as a way to document life in a new country. Since then a lot of life has happened – marriage, a baby, a global pandemic. It’s been quite the ride and it’s been both cathartic and challenging at times to share that with you…

With 2021 drawing to a close I wanted to thank-you for being part of that journey. It’s been so lovely to converse with you over these last 12 months and I look forward to continuing that conversation in 2022. It’s set to be a big year – a new house to move into, what will no doubt be an emotional reunion with family and friends in the U.K., and fingers crossed, an end to COVID induced lockdowns. In the meantime I’m going to take some time away from the blog to spend time with family in Queensland and enjoy the summer. So while it’ll be quiet on here for the next little while, the photographer in me won’t be able to help herself, so if you’re on Instagram feel free to check my profile periodically to see what’s captured my eye.

Have a safe and restful festive season, look after yourself and your loved ones, and here’s to documenting life and whatever it may bring into the new year.

Have a wonderful Christmas and catch you in the New Year.
